Delegates will have the opportunity to:
- Understand mental ill health, the types and problems common in young people
- Examine a four-level framework for practice including the need to take a mentalising stance (Anna Freud model) • Understand teenage development, brain development and risk-taking behaviour
- Explore partnership contextual working to help ‘prevent, disrupt and navigate’ people, places and spaces
- Explore how to develop relationships and build resilience with young people
- Know about the importance of ‘shame’ and ‘recognition’ for working with young people
- Learn about balancing risk (protection and enablement) to support vulnerable young people to thrive
- Access resources for young people, professionals and parents
