Overview
The purpose of this course is use critical thinking to solve problems. We might also use it to examine and identify areas that need addressing to improve day to day operations and performance.Who is Problem Solving and the use of Data Analysis aimed at?
Staff members in the organisation who want to create changes or improvement to the way in which they carry out the work in their department. Before we can solve any problems, we need to be able to break it down and analyse the information to establish a cogent case for actions that will be taken and how this will benefit the department and the organisation.Course Length

By the end of the course participants will be able to:
- Identify what is meant by problem solving
- Discuss and use a range of problem-solving techniques to help to drill down into the causes and effects that are creating the problem.
- Analyse the data using quantitative and qualitative information.
- Justify decision making using supporting evidence to demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of actions.
- Create action plans to rectify problems and build in ongoing quality reviews.
This course is based on examining the theory and working with examples. It does not use software in the session as there are several programmes that are available, and you would need a separate session for this.
This course will take you through the process and provide you with examples to try out your skills.
