Safeguarding Adults – Safer Recruitment

Overview

This training aims to ensure that adults in your setting are safeguarded from harm and that your recruitment process is sufficiently robust to prevent the employment of people who may pose an unacceptable risk to vulnerable adults.

Who is Safeguarding Adults – Safer Recruitment aimed at?

All staff involved in recruitment such as managers, administrators, HR and volunteer coordinators. It is suitable for anyone who is involved in the recruitment process for the adult workforce.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course deleagtes will be able:- 

• To give participants an awareness and understanding of offender behaviour.
• To identify the key features of staff recruitment that help deter or prevent the appointment of unsuitable people.
• To consider policies and practices that minimise opportunities for abuse or ensure its prompt reporting.
• To help participants begin to review their own and their organisations’ policies and practices with a view to making them safer.
