• Define and understand VAWG and application to the LA's service delivery
• Describe the national VAWG framework and how it is relevant to social care
• Define the scope and range of abusive practices
• Explain how VAWG is manifested within diverse communities
• Describe responsibilities of reporting and supporting women who are at risk or subjected violence
• Examine the lived experiences of survivors and how they engage with support
• Identify the links between patriarchy, misogyny and VAWG
