Lara Timms is an experienced social worker and senior leader with over 12 years in Social Work Practice. Lara has worked both as Principal Social Worker and Head of Quality and Assurance. Lara’s practice experience spans safeguarding, children in care, adoption, fostering, quality assurance and practice improvement. Lara has a keen interest in trauma-informed practice, transitions, care leavers, care planning and assessment. She is trained in Level 1 and 2 Dyadic Developmental Psychology and infuses this approach to all of her training.
Lara has presented at seminars and conferences, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Lara promotes a learning culture within her organisation responsible for the delivery of training responding to emerging learning needs as identified in audit, and ensuring that staff are up to date with developing theory, legislation and practice developments. Lara has a sound theoretical understanding, in addition to significant direct practice experience. She is dynamic in her approach and ensures a variety of approaches to engage learners.
