Mick has been designing and delivering professional training for over 10 years, specialising in all aspects of adult safeguarding and statutory adult social care responsibilities.
He has over 30 years in experience in social care, 25 years as a qualified social worker, (16 specialising in Safeguarding Adults). He is also Qualified as an independent Best Interests Assessor under Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. He has a detailed knowledge of the latest legal & national policy context of Safeguarding Adults, including contributing to the development of previous Pan London Procedures, Protecting Adults at Risk (SCIE Report 39).
Mick is a specialist in all aspects of Adult Safeguarding, including case work audit, training, service improvement through process redesign, independent investigations both undertaken and overseen as the independent chair of strategy meetings and case conferences. He is also and Independent Chair of Serious Case Reviews, including presenting evidence at Coroner’s Court and an Independent Author of numerous Safeguarding Adults Reviews, under S44 Care Act 2014
